The Cause
Tree Folks has engaged thousands of volunteers to plant
more than 2.8 million trees in Central Texas. Planting trees is a powerful means of connecting people with their
community. Trees clean the air and water, provide habitat for wildlife, produce fresh fruit for neighbors, and
shelter us from the hot Texas sun. Tree Folks focuses on four aspects:
Community Building
Tree Folks engages thousands of volunteers and community
groups to plant trees in public parks, preserves, and schoolyards.
Reforestation
Tree Folks works to restore forests after natural
disasters such as the forest fires of 2011 in Bastrop County, the devastating Blanco River floods of 2015, and now in the floodplains of Travis
County.
Education
Tree Folks provides free, year-round education
opportunities for all ages with an emphasis on hands-on, experiential learning using the urban forest as our
teacher.
Growing the Urban Forest
Tree Folks partners with the City of Austin to give trees
to qualifying Austinites in the urban core through tree giveaways and consulting.

Dominoes by the Beech
Couch made from 2 live edge beech slabs by Team 1. It features a unique wooden cushion that has been hand shaped and
colored to appear like a cushion.
Side Split Table
A White Oak modern side table hand-crafted by Team 1 featuring Walnut accents.
Chaise-stanza
A White Oak and Cherry lounger with Walnut Accents hand-crafted by Team 2.
Bosco Side Table
A Striped Cherry and Walnut Side Table hand-crafted by Team 2. The table features a built in wireless charger. Place
your wireless charging compatible device on the LED light and charging begins.
