Arata Chair

The Arata Chair by Civilisation was developed with the desire to fully express graphic design as furniture and art objects. The seat surface and back plate are joined by finger joints to maintain strength. The back plate floats above the seat producing the illusion of disconnection.

This project was finished using Precolor Easy Intense Black and Oil Plus 2C Black to give it this sleek, opaque look.

Civilisation combines considered design, beauty, and simple functionality. More art than a mere object. All furniture & art objects are made in Sydney, Australia using sustainable best practice.
