PARTICIPATION TERMS and CONDITIONS

By applying to be considered for an invitation to PhilanthroMake ("Event"), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility: Participation in the Event is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of the United States..
  2. Must have a valid woodworking background or demonstrate a strong interest in woodworking.
  3. Must submit a complete and accurate application form by the specified deadline.

Application Process:

  1. To be considered for an invitation to the Event, you must complete and submit the signup form provided.
  2. Submission of an application does not guarantee an invitation to the Event.
  3. The selection of participants is at the sole discretion of the Event organizers.
  4. The organizers reserve the right to accept or reject applications without providing any reasons or justifications.

Invitation and Participation:

  1. If selected, you will receive an invitation to participate in the Event.
  2. The invitation is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for any monetary value.
  3. You are responsible for arranging your own transportation to the Event location, excluding expenses covered by the organizers.
  4. Your participation in the Event is subject to compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  5. As a participant, you agree to actively promote the giveaway through your social media channels and personal networks to help raise awareness for the charitable causes.

Marketing and Communications:

  1. By applying to the Event, you agree to subscribe to marketing communications from Rubio Monocoat, Festool, and Shaper.
  2. You may receive promotional emails, newsletters, or other marketing materials from the organizers.
  3. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by following the instructions provided in the emails.
  4. For more information on how Rubio Monocoat processes your personal information and what rights you have in this respect, please see our Privacy Policy. For information on how Festool and Shaper process your personal information and what rights you have in this respect, please see their appropriate privacy policies.

Submission Sharing:

  1. By submitting your application, you grant permission for your submissions and related information to be shared with Festool and Shaper for promotional and marketing purposes.
  2. The organizers may use your submissions, including photographs and descriptions, on their websites, social media platforms, and other marketing materials.

Use of Images in Photos and Video Coverage:

  1. By participating in the Event, you grant the organizers and their affiliates the right to take photographs and record video footage during the Event.
  2. You acknowledge and agree that these photographs and videos may be used for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to websites, social media platforms, advertisements, and printed materials.
  3. The organizers have the right to edit, modify, and use these images and videos without further permission or compensation.
  4. You release the organizers, their representatives, and any third parties acting under their authority from any liability related to the use of these images and videos.

Liability and Indemnity:

  1. The organizers shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during the Event.
  2. Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their equipment and tools.
  3. By participating in the Event, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your participation.

Modifications and Termination:

  1. The organizers reserve the right to modify or terminate the Event at any time without prior notice or liability.
  2. The organizers may update or revise these terms and conditions as necessary.

Please review these terms and conditions carefully before submitting your application. By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions outlined above.

 

GIVEAWAY TERMS and CONDITIONS

By entering the PhilanthroMake Giveaway ("Competition"), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility:

  1. The giveaway is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and are residents of the United States.
  2. Participants must be of legal age in their respective state of residence.

Entry:

  • Each participant is eligible for one entry to the giveaway.
  • To enter, participants must submit their entry through the official entry form.
  • Multiple entries from the same person will not be accepted.
  • Entries will close on Oct 31st, 2023 at 11:59pm CST.

Donation and Maximum Amount:

  1. Through Oct 31, 2023, Rubio Monocoat USA, LLC, Festool USA, LLC, and Shaper (the "Brands") will directly donate $1.00 USD to charity for every application to participate in the Competition. Rubio Monocoat USA, LLC and Festool USA, LLC will donate up to a maximum of $2,500 USD (after that amount is donated, subsequent entries will not result in a donation). Shaper will donate up to a maximum of $1,000 USD (after that amount is donated, subsequent entries will not result in a donation). Donations will be split evenly between the Katz-Moses Woodworkers with Disabilities Fund (https://kmtools.com/pages/kmww-charity), a non-profit dedicated to supporting woodworkers with physical and mental disabilities and Aynimundo Association (https://aynimundo.org/), an organization based in Lima, Peru that offers community-based educational and training programs and promotes sustainable building
  2. There is no donation required from the participants, and the brands will make their donations independently.

Prize:

  1. There will be a total of 2 prizes contributed, one from each team participating in PhilanthroMake.
  2. Each winner will receive one woodworking project as their prize.
  3. Winners will have the opportunity to specify their preferred prize from the available options during the entry process.

Consent to Email Marketing:

  1. By entering the Competition, participants consent to receiving email marketing communications from all three participating brands (Rubio Monocoat, Festool, and Shaper).
  2. Participants may receive promotional emails, newsletters, or other marketing materials from the brands.
  3. Participants have the option to unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by following the instructions provided in the emails.

Winner Selection:

  1. The winners will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries on November 1st, 2023.
  2. The drawing will be conducted by the Competition organizers.

Winner Notification:

  1. The winners will be notified via the contact information provided in their entry form.
  2. If a winner does not respond within the specified timeframe, an alternate winner may be selected.

    Prize Acceptance:

    1. By accepting the prize, winners agree to release and hold harmless the participating brands and the Competition organizers from any liability related to the prize.
    2. Prizes are awarded as is, without warranty or guarantee of any kind.

    Publicity:

    1. By participating in the giveaway, winners grant permission for the use of their names and images in promotional materials related to the Competition and the giveaway.

    Modifications and Termination:

    1. The Competition organizers and participating brands reserve the right to modify or terminate the giveaway at any time without prior notice or liability.

    General Conditions:

    1. The giveaway is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
    2. The Competition organizers' decisions regarding the giveaway, including winner selection, are final and binding.

    By participating in the giveaway, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions outlined above.
