Fluted Bookcase

Designed as a replacement for built-ins, this bookcase was crafted to fit seamlessly into an existing space. The piece was sized and positioned to align precisely with the surrounding window casings and wall bump-outs, creating a continuous horizontal sight line across the room.

The custom storage solution features a generous upper cabinet with double doors for concealed storage, an open mid-section, and a lower cabinet granting easy access for the whole family.

The prominent design aspect is defined by its fluted door fronts and custom trim detailing. The hand-cut reeded profiles are framed with trim, giving the piece a much more traditional feel.

Oil Plus 2C in Dunes was chosen to finish this piece, coordinating with the other woods featured in her kitchen.
