Nestled in the mountains of Elka Park, NY, the Berghaus Hunter is a lodge home with a contemporary feel.
The architectural firm and contractor implemented traditional elements of a lodge-style home, such as the wood features, but put a modern spin on the project.
Oil Plus 2C White 5% was used on the spruce bathroom walls and ceilings, the clear vertical grain cedar flooring on the home's second level, the Baltic Birch kitchen cabinets, the birch bathroom vanities along with the birch dressers in the bedrooms.
On the acacia dining table and white oak coffee and side tables, Oil Plus 2C Pure was used.
For the exterior, Hybrid Wood Protector White was used on the exposed spruce.
The lodge is a mass timber build utilizing cross-laminated timber made from European Spruce.
