Applied Rubio Monocoat (Pure) to a 6 ft. butcher block that I'm using as a table top. The 350ml size was more than enough to cover both sides, with plenty left over to use on other projects. The only issue I had was with the accelerator can's cap which was troublesome to open and close. Most of this project's time was spent on research and hours of prep work; getting all the materials I would need to mix/apply and ensuring the wood was properly sanded and ready to go. Applying Rubio was fast and very easy. The end result looks great. I'm glad I found this product. This is my new favorite finish.
Used to refinish 75 year old rocker. Took it down to bare wood (oak) and then cleaned with Rubio Raw Wood Cleaner. The cleaner was expensive but it certainly did not hurt and probably helped. 2C went on easily and the finish is beautiful. After some experimentation I left it on for about one hour and then wiped off with soft cotton rags. After it dried overnight I buffed it and re-applied to areas where I wanted the finish darker. This stuff is pricey but worth it - I will use again on future projects.
I love the simplicity of wiping it on and rubbing it off. I’m excited to order and receive my chosen color and stain the table my grandfather made for my parents wedding gift.
I love how Rubio Monocoat is so simple to apply and it provides a fantastic finish. I will be using it on many more of my projects in the future!
